How billing works

You pay for two things: workers and storage. CPU and memory come with the workers, sized by Odoo's own rule, so there is nothing else to tune. When you change your plan, the dashboard shows the current plan, the new one and the price difference before you confirm.

What counts as an instance?: One running Odoo instance — its own Odoo container, Postgres database, filestore volume and private network. A project can have several (for example production, staging and development).
How is the Cloud price calculated?: Every project starts at 1 worker + 5 GB for $15 a month (€14 or ₹1,249), and includes one staging instance next to production at no extra charge. Each extra worker adds $8 and each extra GB $0.50 per month, and yearly billing saves 15%. The calculator on this page shows your exact price.
Is self-hosting really unlimited?: Yes. The platform is the same; you supply the server. A single bootstrap script installs Docker, generates secrets and brings the stack up behind automatic HTTPS.
How many workers do I need?: We use Odoo's own sizing rule so the numbers are the ones you already know: one worker serves about 6 concurrent users, and workers = (CPU × 2) + 1. So 1 worker suits a small team, 4 workers about 24 people working at the same time, 9 workers about 54. Memory is sized with Odoo's formula too. You can change the number of workers later.
What does a subscription key cover?: One key covers one project and sets its workers and storage. When you pay you receive the key, and you enter it when you create the project. Production, staging and development all live inside that project.
Can I move from Cloud to self-hosted later?: Yes. It's the same platform and the same Git repositories — nothing about your Odoo modules is locked to us.
