How billing works

Every instance starts with one worker and a small memory allocation — enough for a real Odoo with working PDF reports. When you scale an instance, the dashboard shows the new monthly estimate before you confirm, so cost is never a surprise.

What counts as an instance?: One running Odoo instance — its own Odoo container, Postgres database, filestore volume and private network. A project can have several (for example production, staging and development).
How is the Cloud price calculated?: The base price covers a single-worker instance. Adding workers or memory increases the monthly cost, and the dashboard shows the estimate before you confirm any scaling change.
Is self-hosting really unlimited?: Yes. The platform is the same; you supply the server. A single bootstrap script installs Docker, generates secrets and brings the stack up behind automatic HTTPS.
Do you charge for staging or development instances?: They are billed like any other instance while they run. Development instances can be stopped when you're not using them, and stopped instances don't consume compute.
Can I move from Cloud to self-hosted later?: Yes. It's the same platform and the same Git repositories — nothing about your Odoo modules is locked to us.
